Geraldine B. Roman was born in 1967 was the second of four children of former Bataan 1st District Representative Herminia Roman and the late Bataan Assemblyman & also a Representative of the 1st District of Bataan Antonino Roman, Jr. She spent her early childhood in Orani, Bataan.
Roman attended Ateneo de Manila University for her elementary and high school studies. For her collegiate studies, she attended the University of the Philippines. She managed to secure a scholarship to pursue journalism at the University of the Basque Country in Spain and attained two master’s degrees. She worked in Spain as a senior editor for the Spanish News Agency before returning to the Philippines in 2012 to take care of her father, who was seriously ill by that time.
Jose Enrique “Joet” S. Garcia III (born November 12, 1971) is a Filipino politician from Bataan. He is the current Representative of Bataan’s 2nd District after having been Mayor of Balanga from 2007 to 2016.
Joet is the son of the late Bataan Governor Enrique “Tet” Garcia and Mrs. Vicky Garcia. Younger brother of Governor Albert “Abet” S. Garcia.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (General Humanities with specialization in Political Economy) from the University of Asia and the Pacific. He is married to Maria Isabel Fernandez, and has three sons, Diego (born 2002), Paolo (born 2005) and Nicolo (born 2009).
