Sa darating na Sabado, September 3, gaganapin ang #AllOurPride Ball ng Bataan Equality Champs (BECS) sa Lou-is Resort and Restaurant sa Balanga City, Bataan. Ito ay may temang “BECS: Tayo ang Bahaghari.”

Ayon sa Facebook Page post ni Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine B. Roman, “June 30 marked the end of Pride month, but it’s not the end of the fight for equality. Pride is a celebration. Pride is a protest. And it never ends. Take pride in who you are and fight for who you are. Fight for the people who want to be themselves.”

Dagdag pa ni Congresswoman Roman, “let’s all own our narratives, live our truth, and be ourselves. Join us as we celebrate Pride and commemorate all our efforts that have improved diversity and inclusion over these past few years.”

Ang BECs ay naglalayong pag-isahin at patatagin ang LGBT Community ng Bataan at baguhin ang mga maling akala tungkol sa LGBT community sa pamamagitan ng mga proyekto at programang makakatulong sa lipunan at kanilang mga miyembro.

Nitong kabubukas ng 19th Congress of the Philippines ay nahirang bilang Chairperson ng House Committee on Women & Gender Equality si Congresswoman Roman.

“I can’t wait to champion women’s rights and welfare and gender equality on all fronts! Tara na! Samahan niyo akong isulong ang karapatan at kapakanan ng kababaihan at kanilang mga anak at mga kapatid nating LGBTQ kasabay ng pagtugon sa mga napapanahong isyung ating kinakaharap! Let’s do this!,” pahayag ni Rep. Roman.
