BIR Bataan, Revenue District Officer Merlyn Vicente reminded anew taxpayers that the deadline of the annual filing of income tax returns (ITR) is on April 17.
BIR encourages taxpayers to file their ITRs and pay their taxes on or before the deadline to avoid penalty.
The annual income tax return summarizes all the transactions of the taxpayer covering the calendar year.
BIR Bataanâs target collection for 2023 is 20 percent higher than that of last year.
In February, BIR Bataan kicked off its tax collection campaign in the province.
Earlier, President Bongbong Marcos led the BIR official kick off of 2023 National Tax Campaign on February 7 held at PICC, Pasay City.
It will also be recalled that BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. filed criminal complaints against 53 taxpayers for tax evasion last February.
