In what local residents described as a “rare” occasion, Bagac Mayor Rommel V. Del Rosario spoke before municipal employees on Monday’s flag raising ceremony and heaped kind words on them.

“Ako po’y nagpapasalamat sa inyong lahat na mga kawani ng munisipyo dahil napakahusay nyo sa trabaho. Kahit hindi kayo binabantayan nakakapagtrabaho kayo nang mahusay,” the mayor told them in a casual manner.

Mayor Rommel distributed cash gifts to employees who are celebrating their birthdays this month of March. He is now in his last term as town executive.

Bagac, a third class municipality with roughly 32,000 population is a tourist destination known for white beaches.
