The Province of Bataan emerged with the highest passing rate nationwide for the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) 2023.

A total of 12 out of the 13 local government units within the province were honored with this prestigious award during a ceremony held yesterday at The Manila Hotel. This marks the sixth occasion that the Provincial Government of Bataan has been conferred with the SGLG, a testament to the unwavering commitment to public service excellence led by Governor Jose Enrique Garcia III.

Expressing his gratitude during the SGLG Exit Conference, Governor Garcia commended the successful local government units and rallied all local chief executives to maintain their dedication, setting a goal of achieving a 100% passing rate for the 2024 SGLG.

Moreover, the governor assured the public that the SGLG Incentive Fund, which was received with the award, will be allocated towards programs and projects aimed at the holistic development of all Bataeno families.

The SGLG, the most distinguished recognition bestowed by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), symbolizes the remarkable performance of local government units in public service and their measurement in the efficient delivery of public services.
