Starting yesterday (August 5) heavy vehicles shall no longer be allowed to pass through Binaritan Bridge in Morong, Bataan.

The recommendation was made by the Department of Public Works and Highways District 1 after its assessment of safety aspect following an ocular inspection of the bridge.

Morong Mayor Cynthia G. Linao-Estanislao, Engr. Opalyn Gonzales of DPWH 1 together with Vice Mayor Leila G. Linao-Munoz, Sangguniang Bayan members, and Engr. Joel Zulueta conducted ocular inspection on the bridge last Thursday.

“Ang mga malalaking trak at iba pang katulad nito ay hindi muna papayagang makadaan at hinihimok na pansamantalang gamitin ang Balanga-Bagac-Morong road,” Estanislao made the appeal through her FB page.
