Congresswoman Maria Angela S. Garcia of Bataan’s Third Congressional District vows to continue promoting the welfare of farmers by introducing measures to increase productivity.
In a news briefing held in her Dinalupihan office, the neophyte lady solon reported her accomplishments since she was elected lawmaker representing the towns of Dinalupihan, Morong, Bagac, and Mariveles. Among her known accomplishments include establishing rapport and facilitating representation with important agencies like the Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Agriculture, and Department of Social Welfare and Development.
In the agriculture sector, agricultural produce will no longer go to waste because cold storage will soon be available for farmers who engage in mass production of onions and other vegetables. “Pag maraming ani, bagsak presyo so we need to devise a new technology ang financing scheme for the benefit of our farmers,” she pointed out. Garcia said with the new farming technology, a 55-hectare farm land could now produce 300,000 kilos of palay.
