Gen. Silo celebrates birthday with LTOPF applicants and renewers

In a unique and heartwarming gesture, Civil Security Group Acting Director Police Brig. Gen. Benjamin “Benjie” Silo Jr. has announced a special birthday caravan for individuals applying for or renewing their License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) starting on the first week of June.

In a phone interview, Silo told reporters, the initiative aims to foster a stronger relationship between the Civil Security Group and the firearms-owning community while enhancing the overall experience for citizens seeking LTOPF services.

On Thursday, Director Silo attended the inauguration, blessing ang ribbon cutting of CCSDF storage facility at RCSU12 building located at PRO 12 in Brgy. Tambler, General Santos City, where was joined by Police Col. Arnold Santiago, Chief Regional Staff and officiated by Police Lt. Col. Randell V. Cinches, Regional Chaplain.

PB Gen. Silo’s birthday caravan, his colleagues said, serves as a testament to Director Silo’s commitment to providing exceptional service to the public.

Recognizing the importance of the LTOPF process, which enables responsible gun ownership, Silo sought to create a more welcoming and efficient environment for applicants and renewers.

During his visit, Director Silo took the time to meet and greet each individual present at the RCSU 12.

His presence not only added a personal touch to the experience but also allowed applicants and renewers to address any concerns directly to the Acting Director.

Silo listened attentively to their feedback and suggestions, further emphasizing his dedication to continuous improvement within the Civil Security Group.

The birthday caravan concept arose from Director Silo’s desire to establish a meaningful connection with the firearms-owning community.

By celebrating his special day alongside individuals engaged in the LTOPF process, he aimed to bridge the gap between law enforcement agencies and responsible gun owners.

Throughout the month of June, applicants and renewers of LTOPF across various regions can look forward to enhanced service quality and streamlined processes, as the birthday caravan travels to different locations.

The initiative aims to reduce wait times, ensure smooth interactions, and provide a more personalized experience for all involved.

Speaking about the birthday caravan, Director Silo expressed his gratitude to the firearms-owning community for their trust and cooperation.

He stated, “This caravan is my way of showing appreciation for the responsible gun owners who prioritize safety and security. It is an honor to celebrate my birthday alongside those who value and adhere to our country’s firearm regulations.”

The Civil Security Group, under Director Silo’s leadership, has been actively working towards improving its services and establishing stronger connections with the public.

The birthday caravan serves as a testament to the group’s commitment to serving the community while promoting responsible gun ownership.

As the first week of June approaches, individuals seeking to apply for or renew their LTOPF are encouraged to check local announcements and schedules for the caravan’s upcoming destinations.

The birthday caravan promises to bring a unique and memorable experience to LTOPF applicants and renewers, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie within the firearms-owning community.

PBGen. Silo (then a Police Colonel), during the first two years of President Duterte, served as Provincial Director of Bataan Police Provincial Office and made Bataan the first “drug-cleared” province at the height of PRRD’s controversial anti-illegal drugs campaign.

Prior to his present assignment at the CSG Main Office in Camp Crame, Brig. Gen. Silo served as Regional Director of Police Regional Office 11 or the Davao Region.
