Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia had endorsed a group of informal settlers in Barangay Balon-Anito, Mariveles town to Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion for enrolment to community mortgage program (CMP).

The informal settlers numbering 296 formed into a group now known as Vista Grande Homeowners Association has been registered with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).

In his letter to Mayor Concepcion, dated February 6, the Governor said the organized informal settler families belong to low income groups and had been living in various barangays in Mariveles specifically in government owned lands.

“Through their own initiative and capacity the said association has acquired 4.2 hectares of land in Vista Grande to be distributed to members,” Gov. Garcia explained.
