New Clark City roars back

The New Clark City, finished in 2019 under the Build, Build, Build agenda of the Duterte Administration is now on the rebound, hitting the ground with its reopening launch theme, “Bike and Run Weekend Fun” highlighted by two cycling events, a fun run, a street concert and a tour of the world-class sports facilities.

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) rolled the excitement, celebrating its return as a hotspot for tourism and sports, welcome back visitors last May 28- 29 with vibrant public event packed with music, art, wellness and all things about living life to the fullest.

Atty. Aristotle B. Batuhan, OIC Pres. and CEO said that, with the reopening of the New Clark City, the Filipino people can get a glimpse of not just a venue for sightseeing and competitions but a community where one can enjoy life in what is envisioned to be smart, resilient and inclusive city of the future.

The New Clark City is building upon its heritage as a host venue of the last 2019 SEA Games, wherein sports facilities were built for the Filipino athletes, making the sports venue accessible to the public and invite our people to experience the same kind of excitement and national pride felt during the SEA games, Batuhan added.

With the New Clark City bouncing back, it resumes the implementation of projects including the construction of the National Academy for sports and other infrastructure developments.

The public can now visit and enjoy New Clark City every weekend for free; from Manila, New Clark City is accessible via seamless connections from NLEX to SCTEX, and is also available to local and foreign air travelers through nearby Clark International Airport.
