Provincial Legal Awareness Group Ordinance signed

The ordinance establishing the Provincial Legal Awareness Group (PLAG) has been signed by Gov. Joet Garcia.

Three weeks ago, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan presided by Vice Gov. Cris Garcia unanimously passed on third and final reading the ordinance during a regular session.

First District Board Member Tony Boy Roman authored and sponsored the ordinance.

Muli, nangunguna ang Bataan”, the board member also said.

It is noted that some Bataenos are not qualified to avail any of the services offered by PAO due to the indigency test implemented by the agency and that pro bono service by by lawyers is merely encouraged and not required by the Supreme Court. PLAG will operated under Office of the Governor and will be headed by Provincial Legal Office.
