The Municipality of Samal received P1 million financial assistance from its sister city Makati. Samal Mayor Alex Acuzar accompanied by municipal treasurer Emilia Dela Rosa personally received the check from Makati Mayor Abigail Binay in a ceremony held in the city recently. Acuzar thanked Binay for the financial aid to be used for assistance to Samal residents who were victimized by typhoons Egay and Falcon. Aside from financial assistance, Makati City also conducts disaster preparedness training for personnel of its sister local government units.
