With the advent of new administration under Mayor-elect Robin Tagle, Abucay town is set to become a major tourist destination as it refurbishes the Sibul Spring.

In his Facebook post, Mayor Tagle said it is about time the municipal government looked into the possibility of exploring other sources of income including that of the tourism industry.

The mayor is confident “Mayora” Christine Tagle who had been designated chairperson of Abucay Tourism Council will take charge in refurbishing the well-known Sibul Spring complete with cottages and Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Sibul Spring is known for cold spring water which people believe have properties that ” beautify” human skin.

Next in line for beautification project is the Abucay plaza, added Mayor Robin.
