Those who have less in life, should have more in law, so goes the popular slogan of then president Ramon Magsaysay.

This seems to be the guiding principle of the provincial government when it passed the “Provincial Legal Awareness Group” ordinance which was approved by Bataan Gov. Jose Enrique S. Garcia III last Sept. 27.

The provincial board presided by Bataan Vice Governor Cris Garcia unanimously enacted the ordinance. The ordinance authored by Board Member Antonino B. Roman III, calls for free legal seminar on the Constitution and national laws.

The PLAG aims to raise awareness on local legislative measures and executive orders. BM Roman said: “This is social justice legislation by the government and the first in the Philippines, and Bataan is leading the way.”
